Help Ricky Through Cervical Spine Surgery

After enduring a shoulder/bicep surgery in September of 2024, I am now in need of a cervical spine surgery (C4-C5, C5-C6 disc replacement) due to severe stenosis and retrolisthesis (both causing severe spinal cord impingement) in hopes of getting my life back! That surgery has now been set for June 16th 2025. The pain I've been forced to endure has been excruciating and has definitely taken a toll mentally as it has limited my abilities a great deal. I have been unable to do my work or things that I enjoy. More info will be below, but this Gofundme is being set up because I flat out need help with my portion of bills while I'm down (rent, phone, electric, water, groceries, etc). I was told that getting back to full recovery would take 3-4 months from surgery, so the goal I've set here will be used over the months of May through October. Any amount raised definitely goes a long way and I more than appreciate anyone who can lend a hand.

May 1st of 2024 I began experiencing sudden and horrible nerve pain coupled with a complete loss of feeling/sensation in my right shoulder. A week after that, I began feeling a less severe, more dull pain in my left shoulder. After months of taking images and going through the channels getting to an orthopedic surgeon, it was believed that my issues were coming from my right shoulder that had significant tears (along with a bicep tendon that needed to be detached/reattached). My constant complaint of the left shoulder feeling a similar pain fell silent in the wake of how bad my right shoulder really was, so on September 10th 2024 I had the shoulder/bicep surgery and thus began the long and unexpectedly difficult recovery. After months of PT, I regained a lot of function back to my shoulder/bicep, but I still had nerve pain and the complete loss of feeling coupled with a left shoulder pain that began intensifying. At my final appointment with my orthopedic surgeon, he felt it would be a good idea to get scans of my cervical spine and that's where this journey began.

After X-Rays, CT, MRI scans, Neck PT, and seeing a cervical spine pain management doctor along with a spine surgeon, they all agreed, this was a structural issue and nothing but surgery would potentially relieve pain and return normal function to my neck and arms.

I went from fighting through excruciating pain throughout my recovery PT of my shoulder/bicep to regain function and still being physically down/unable to work even after that recovery to walking right into another surgery/recovery period. I've been devastated by all of this and that's an extreme understatement. It has obviously affected my physical ability to work and help supply for my family, but has crushed me mentally as well (as I already deal with a lot in that department). Your help will relieve a great deal of stress and that would mean the absolute world to me and my wife (who's been working double to make up for me, which hurts like hell ).
