Vivacious, full of life, beautiful inside and out, spitfire of a woman…. these are just a few words used by loved ones to describe Rici Birmingham. Depending on when you met her, you might better know her as Patricia/Trish/Trisha. Lots of names and even more personality. She was an amazing mom, would light up a room, never met a stranger, always had a smile, and was the life of the party. Rici was the friend you wanted in your corner. If you had a need, she wanted to meet it.
On Monday, December 6, 2021, Rici’s life was taken at their home in Spring, TX. In a moment this beautiful soul was taken from her daughter, family, and multitude of friends.
Scrolling her Facebook, you’ll be met with testimonies of friendship as those who mourn her loss proudly display the true beauty of her life, a life lived fully in relation to those around her. She did not give pieces of herself; she gave her all. She did not do anything half-hearted. Rici was the person who showed up when houses flooded, she promoted local businesses, she was a top real estate agent, a team player, and was absolutely adored by those who journeyed this life with her.
Rici leaves behind a 16-year-old daughter. Nothing sparked a bigger smile or more sparkle in her eyes than the mention of Olivia, fondly known as Oli. If you had a minute to listen, she would graciously share all she could about her redheaded, volleyball loving beauty. They were best friends. She is also survived by two loving stepsons, Chad and Cory, her daughter in law, Maggie, and two sweet grandsons. Rici's family meant the world to her and she loved each of them dearly.
Currently, Rici’s sister, Mary, and mom, Diane, are in TX taking on a multitude of complex tasks. Funeral plans, bringing Rici home to FL, custody/care for Oli, meeting with lawyers, relocating Oli, etc. They are worn out and overwhelmed. Not only are they facing all that comes with the loss of Rici but are also dealing with investigators, police, judges, and more.
This GoFundMe is our way of coming alongside the family and alleviating the financial burden that is mounting before them. The process they face is long and heavy. We want to lighten that load so they can focus on getting tasks completed and mourn the loss of their beloved mom/sister/daughter. 100% of these funds will go to cover these costs.
My name is Amy. Rici was my cousin; I always called her Trish. I, along with my cousins, Lori and Marie, have set this up and would greatly appreciate any help you might offer. We have loved seeing the photos and stories shared by you all and have been touched by the outpouring of desire to help. We will keep this page updated with service times.
