Repair the flood damage

Mid July our friend Allison Breininger discovered that the carpet in their finished basement in their dreamy new house was saturated with water. They called in the professionals and it was discovered that mold had started to grow from the water and that the tiles under the carpet and padding are asbestos. They evacuated their home (including the cats who were traumatized) on Tuesday and the 5 of them moved in with Allison's parents, where they will be indefinitely.

The cause was determined to be ground seepage from heavy rains, which insurance will pay $0 for. Crews have started to rip up all of the flooring and are cutting the bottom two feet of all of the walls in the basement. De- and Re-construction will be a long and complicated process, especially because we need to be sure that the air quality is okay for Sean.

Their new home has been such an oasis for them and it's really hard to have it ripped up, to feel worried about breathing there, and to not be in it.  They are heartbroken and hoping to get back into the house as soon as possible.
