Relief for residents of the Keys
Donation protected
Hey, guys, here's the deal in the Keys.. it's pretty demolished. I met a lot of people who lost their homes (rentals or no insurance) Those with homes left standing are gutting them and working on them which is hard enough, but many were left totally homeless. Some, that I personally met, were granted hotel rooms but only until 10/22. After that, they're screwed. I'm appalled to see how many have been denied by FEMA. A lot of folks that really need help have been denied. I know a lot of Pinellas residents were quickly approved. I know we all lost work and had a shitty week (or 2 shitty weeks) but if you received money and don't absolutely have to use it, please throw some, or all, or whatever into this pot. Whether you did or didn't, anything would help these guys out. We should be really grateful we had minor damage. I'll head back down and bring whatever I can. Even if this can only help one family get into a new place, it is totally worth it. Anything helps. Please consider chipping in.
