Reoccurring Sarcoma Brain Tumor After One Month

A dear friend (I am not using names to respect privacy and HIPAA rights) found out her 6 year old son had a brain tumor last month, requiring emergency surgery. The surgery went great, but cancer cells were found requiring Radiation and Chemotherapy.  The tumor was very rare  and took weeks for pathology results to come in. Last week, the day they were going to start radiation, they found that the tumor had grown back in the same spot in 1 month.  The second tumor was successfully removed Friday. He is scheduled for Radiation and Chemotherapy simultaneously for 4 days each month. This little boy is wonderful and he has such a fighting spirit, but this treatment is very aggressive and has already taken a toll on the family. As we all know, even in times like this, the bills do not stop coming, and she is unable to work while he is recovering. She has very little in the way of a support system, and any amount you can contribute, no matter how small, will help keep a roof over their heads and food on the table.
