Rebuild the festival toilets

Hi, my name is Kate. I've been going to Smallworld festival in Headcorn for about 20 years now and it is an important part of my life.

Smallworld has a special place in my heart, as I know it does in hundreds of other people's and it's the most magical festival and gathering of people that I've ever experienced.

Smallworld is therapy to alot of people, twice a year we gather in those fields and that's where the magic happens.

It heals the heart and soul and provides a place where people can be exactly who they want to be, free from predudice from others.

I'm one of the plumbers at Smallworld and there is one thing that could truly make our festival so much more enjoyable.....the toilets....or long drops as they are known as by many of us regulars.

Now, for those of you that have been to Smallworld, you will either love or hate them...personally my favourite is 'Poo with a View'

The toilets desperately need to be rebuilt, the wood is rotting and they are falling apart and we could really do with laying better bases and making the drainage in that area better.

I know times are tough but I would love it, if everyone could donate a few pounds towards materials and if anyone has the skills to help rebuild and would like to volunteer some time, please do reach out.

Initially, I would love to try and get £5000 together to get this project done before our Spring Smallworld festival, if we can get more, we can then look at laying different material for the toilets to sit on and work on the drainage.
