Hey everyone, Kelfie here, with a big request straight from the heart. Tragedy struck at the farm last week and a sauna that Teka had been designing and building by hand burned down to the ground on the day it was completed.

Were all devastated for him so reaching out for help to lift his spirit.

——-To all our brothers and sisters in the community I know many of you know and love Teka. He never asks for much, and gives a lot which is exactly why I’m reaching out for help when help is needed.

For years, Teka has dreamed of building a sauna at the farm. And he finally did it!

I have never seen such an honest and beautiful project.

Over the past couple of years he has poured his soul into building it:

Everything was hand made, designed, reclaimed and historic. The exterior wood was a 100+ year old fishing shed from Ulladulla, the windows were stained glass, everything collected over many years and everything sentimental and historic.

It was decorated with sentimental treasures that Teka collected on his travels.

It was a true work of art — a reflection of him.

Finally it was finished and the day came to fire it up. The fire was installed, and tested.

For many hours while the fireplace was first lit Teka checked it. He tested all the wood, tested the windows the doors, the fireplace.

Everything was working perfectly.

But in the brief moment he stepped away, tragedy struck — and the sauna, his labour of love, went entirely up in flames. Very quickly the entire thing was on fire and then gone.

When I arrived home, all that was left was a smouldering heap… and beside it, a heartbroken man.

“We can rebuild it,” I told him. But he just shook his head: “It was a one-off.”

His spirit — the same one that lifts so many of us — is crushed.

Now, he’s probably going to be a bit pissed that I’m doing this and writing this.

But I know I’m not the only one who feels this way: Teka deserves to see this dream rise again and I want to help him.

Because it wasn’t just his sauna — it was for all of us. A space built for community, connection, and care.

So here’s the plan:
