We are a family from Gaza who have been displaced. Our home was destroyed, and we lost many members of our family. I graduated from Gaza University and had dreams of working, but everything changed after October 7. I found myself going from displacement to destruction to loss, to the point that I couldn’t even take my certificates from my home. I left behind my house and my memories, which the war destroyed.
Now I am with the rest of my family and the children, and all we hope for is life — a dignified life, like the rest of the world. Every person has the right to live. I want to take care of my family and myself so that life can go on, and I want to rebuild a new life, whether in Gaza or outside it. All I ask is for help to build a new life, after I once lived happily in a life that war has taken away.
