In a quiet, remote village on the banks of the river Meghna in Bangladesh, a small mosque stands as a testament to faith, sacrifice, and enduring goodness. It was not built by wealth or abundance, but through the quiet determination of a widow/mother who chose to turn love and devotion into a lasting legacy. It originally was built by her between 2004–2007 in memory of her late husband using her personal savings. For nearly 20 years, the mosque has served as the only place of prayer for a remote riverside community, but it is now in a severely deteriorated condition.
A Legacy in Need of Support
Sadly, the matriarch who built this sanctuary passed away in September 2025. This legacy of devotion cannot be allowed to fade. Her son has taken it upon himself to rebuild the mosque from the ground up, ensuring a solid, safe foundation that will last for generations to come.
The Opportunity for Sadaqah Jariyah
Construction is set to begin in May 2026. We are aiming to raise £18,000 to complete this vital project.
This is a profound opportunity to participate in Sadaqah Jariyah—a continuous charity. Every prayer offered, every Quranic verse recited in this new mosque will bring rewards to you and the original builders. Your support can help provide a safe and lasting place of worship for generations. Please consider donating and sharing this cause.
