My name is Lama and I am a Gazan living in Canada. I've started this fundraiser to help my aunt, her husband, and their five children with general necessities to survive in the Gaza Strip right now. These include things like food, water and temporary shelter. We are also hoping to raise enough funds to help them purchase small solar panels to charge their phones and use light during the night time in their shelter.

Something as simple as charging their phones is so important so we can call them to know they're alive and let them know of any urgent news that would warrant them to evacuate their area. My cousin currently has an e SIM which I've installed for him and that allows him to connect to internet when there's signal and check the news. So small solar panels to keep this connection to the world is life saving.

My aunt and her husband, Eman and Mohammed, are two pharmacists who met over 20 years ago while they were working in a pharmacy. They built a happy home together, and even opened their own humble pharmacy in Khan Yunis in Gaza. They've always been incredibly hardworking and no matter how tough things got they've never asked for anything from anyone.

Their eldest sons are excellent pharmacy students hoping to follow their parents' footsteps. Their younger children are 12, 7, and 6 years old.

Now, 130+ days in the Gaza war, my aunt and her family find themselves with no home and in a shelter with over 30 people. Their home has been destroyed, and they're anxious about how they will survive the upcoming months with no income.

As you can see from photos taken in the last two weeks (February 2024), we found out that their home was struck and it caused so much damage inside.

The strike has left the house in an unlivable condition, with large holes in the walls, destroyed ceilings and destroyed furniture.

Until life return backs to normal in Gaza, and my aunt and her husband can resume working, any and all and financial support you can offer her would be extremely helpful for the whole family.
