Rebecca Lane Memorial Fund, Honoring Her Last Wish

By now I'm sure many of you know Rebecca Lane aka Momma Becky passed away Tuesday February 9, 2021 after a rigorous  battle with Stage 4 Small Cell Lung Cancer. For the past 5 months momma Becky fought so hard, she made it through another Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years... passing less than a week before her birthday. She was one of the most thoughtful, loving, compassionate human beings to ever walk this earth. Her smile was enough to light up any room and her laughter was contagious. She would laugh at her own jokes and carry on with her sweet southern accent. We brought mom home from the hospital to stay with us after being diagnosed. It was a very scary time but mom comforted us because that's who she was. If she was scared she rarely showed it. She put her faith in her god and she lived....for her kids, her grandbabies, her brothers and sisters, she lived for love. 

Are main priority over the past 5 months was to keep hope alive and in doing so we spent very little time preparing mentally nor financially for end of life. That being said, mom did express her final wishes, She asked to be cremated and to go home to rest in peace with her parents. Today we are looking to all of you to help make these wishes come true.  As a family her two sons; Adam and Eric as well as her Daughter-in-laws and grandchildren are planning to drive to Illinois this summer to hold a memorial and spread her ashes as she requested.

Other costs we are struggling with at this time consist of taking a trip to Boston to pick up mom's remains from the funeral home as well as packing up and moving all of moms belongings from her apartment and getting them into a temporary storage unit before the 28th of this month or her belongings will no longer be accessible to us) 

Any donation, no matter how big or how small will help and be graciously appreciated. These donations will go towards the remaining end of life costs as well as getting mom home to rest in peace with her parents.
