Raven Venture Ltd. Emergency Relief Fundraiser

Raven Venture Ltd, our West Kelowna-based tree planting company, needs your help. On August 17, 2023, the McDougall Creek wildfire raged through the night and devastated all of West Kelowna, including the property of David Shaw and Lise Guyot, the owners of Raven Venture. The property served not only as the family home, but also as the headquarters of our company. The wildfire destroyed everything, including the family house and all equipment, trucks, storage, and machinery used for our business.

Founded in 1981, Raven Venture is a small, family-run company. We pride ourselves in our community-focused approach to our work and excellent reputation. We plant approximately 2 million trees each year, and have planted over 200 million trees since our inception. We hire local crews and work in the spring, summer, and fall; and collaborate with both public and private groups, including local First Nations and band councils, undertaking a variety of forestry contracts.

We are devastated by the destruction of the wildfire and are looking to our community to help build back Raven Venture. We want to continue doing what we do best - doing the good work of putting trees in the ground and replenishing our forests. All proceeds from this fundraiser will go towards purchasing critical business items lost in the wildfire, including work trucks, ATVs, storage units, safety gear, and equipment/machinery.
