Rally for Giana & Sergio

Moments like these are never easy to deal with, but my dear friends Giana and Sergio need your help.  Last month Sergio was diagnosed with stage four stomach cancer.   Since the diagnosis they have been seeking treatment.   The treatments they have been undergoing are not covered under conventional healthcare, or their insurance.   Also, they are many miles away from home as they seek treatment.  As you might expect, the bills are increasing rapidly.  Obviously neither one of them have been able to work since the diagnosis. They are in danger of losing their healthcare benefits.  Of course no amount of money could  alleviate what’s happening right now, but we are doing our best to support them anyway we can , and help with the process and stress of the situation.
    I have known Giana and Sergio for 17 years now. Giana speaks fluent Spanish.  I was surprised to learn within a year of first meeting her that she did not know Spanish when she met Sergio, and Sergio spoke mainly Spanish and very little English. Giana learned how to speak Spanish because she was so in love with Sergio.  They have been a couple since she was 15 years old. They have four beautiful children, two grandchildren, and another grandchild on the way. I cannot say enough about how great this couple is and what a romantic story it is that she learned Spanish to be with Sergio.  I love them dearly.
