Raise funds towards nursing home fees

Hi, My name is Aisling and I am fundraising for my beautiful mammy Fiona.

My mam was diagnosed with Alzheimer's at the young age of 64.

I have been on this jounery with my mam every step of the way. Last year in 2024 I had to give up my job and become her soul full time carer. Sadly my mam needs 24/7 care. Her needs are changing and I can no longer give her the care deserves.

We have looked into a few care homes that will meet her needs as she is still very active physically .

Waiting lists are years long however, just as we thought we were close to getting somewhere we were told that between fair deal and her pension her costs would still not be covered. As I am not in employment and have no savings I would not be able to cover her fees.

I am beyond heartbroken just having to make the hard decision to place mam in care but then to be told I cant afford the care she needs. I know I have done my best and given all I can for my mam but I still feel like I am letting her down. I never wanted to reach out for help, but I really need to now.

We would be extremely grateful for any help our that comes our way. This is to help mam continue to live a healty active life before Alzhiemer's completely takes her away from us.
