Hi!
My name is Sophie, I am a trans activist, author, cartoonist and part-time student (*update* I dropped-out of school :O to make comics :O my mom still doesn't get it).
Activism and cartoons take most of my free time, and both are volunteer work. I feel it is important that I keep on doing it, as it is what gives me the strength to get up each morning.
In the past year, I tried to make a living out of it, by selling some books, giving talks and setting up a Patreon account for my art.
But as I became very public about my experience and became the target of a lot of online violence and cyberbullying, I felt that I should do something that would ease the pain I feel on a daily basis.
It is something that, I believe, would make me a better advocate, a better activist, a better person overall. I strongly feel that my work, which reaches a pretty large audience, could benefit from it.
As I managed to get the money to have psychological support (thank you so much!), I am now trying to raise the money for a surgery that I've been needing for many years.
There won't be any reward here other than my everlasting gratitude.
