Let’s create a fountain of hope to support those suffering

I share with you a photo of a dear woman whom I’ve known for over 30 years! Whom I trust well and has been passing out infant formula, milk and diapers. Clean water and baked food. May our world become a better place for all.

I am Lena Beseiso, a Palestinian who is currently a resident of the USA. I love my community here. But Gaza is my home, where I raised my family, and Gaza is hurting right now.

North Gaza specifically, where we lived, is starving. Resources that are available in southern and central Gaza do not make it to the north because there is an Israeli military blockade preventing movement between north and south. Clean water is the most critical need, followed by medications, and basic food items for those who are malnourished, including infant formula for young children. I’m raising money to provide cooked meals, water tank deliveries, and medications, specifically. There are items that can be found if you know who to ask, but they are extremely expensive and impossible for individuals to purchase now because virtually everyone has been unable to work or earn money for almost nine months. This is where our help is needed. Help us provide basic life essentials for families in North Gaza so they can survive this war and, God willing, rebuild their lives.

There’s a principle I believe in. I like to call it a “fountain of hope.” Whatever you give, I believe you will get at least 10x in return.

$700 for a tank of clean water delivered (serves 500 families for two days of cooking and drinking)

$50 for a tube of antibacterial ointment (for an infection)

$150 insulin pen (if we are able to locate one)

$22 pain medication

$1500 for a large pot of hot cooked food (provides one hot meal for 50 people)

I am a proud mother, daughter, sister, friend, and compassionate human being who is so saddened and wants to help good people heal and recover from this genocide.

Before October 7th, my life was wonderful, brimming with joy, enthusiasm and purpose. I was visiting Gaza, my homeland, to see my family and spend time with them. I cherished every moment with my family with such love and joy, laughter, good times and bad… Thank goodness we had more good times than bad. Beautiful places to go out and have good times. Spending quality time at home with family and friends. I could see old friends after 12-13 years of not going to Gaza, due to the constant turmoil in Gaza and Palestine we were quite hesitant to visit our home there - the place my children grew up, made friends and had great memories. We reside in the USA and live independently, nurturing others with kindness and respect, fulfilling dreams, prospering and loving our community, traveling, and inspiring others with compassion.
