Please help my family survive the war

Dear compassionate souls,

I am Salwa Al-Shandagha, reaching out from the heart of Gaza, where my family and I are struggling to navigate through the aftermath of a devastating conflict. Once, our lives were filled with simple joys and cherished dreams. In our humble home, built with love, resided my two sisters, my beloved parents, and me—a hopeful university student, eager to carve out a better future.

Yet, in an instant, the tranquility we knew vanished. The echoes of war shattered our existence, leaving us with nothing but the clothes on our backs and the fragments of our shattered dreams. Waking up to the harsh reality of displacement, we found solace in a makeshift tent, labelled as mere refugees in our own land.

The once vibrant corridors of my university now lie in ruins, along with my father's means of sustenance, snatched away by the merciless hands of conflict. Education, once a beacon of hope, now seems like a distant memory as my sisters and I are forced to abandon our studies. Life as we knew it has ground to a halt, engulfed by a sea of uncertainty, loss, and despair.

Despite the darkness that surrounds us, a glimmer of hope flickers in our hearts—a longing to seek refuge in the arms of safety, to find solace in a land untouched by the ravages of war. Egypt beckons as a beacon of hope, promising sanctuary and a chance at rebuilding our shattered lives. Yet, the road to freedom is paved with obstacles, and we find ourselves unable to afford the journey that could lead us to a new beginning.

Me and my family are looking forward to evacuate to Egypt, but as you know, a lot of money is needed to pay for the coordination in order to cross the borders, and $10,000 are still in need to get the total amount required for us to be able to travel.

With every passing day, the weight of our burdens grows heavier, and our plea for assistance becomes more urgent. We yearn for the warmth of a safe haven, for the opportunity to reclaim what was lost and forge a path towards a brighter tomorrow.

My family and I are on the brink of embarking on this journey of hope, but we cannot do it alone. We humbly implore you, kind-hearted souls, to extend your hand in support. Your generosity can pave the way for our escape from this nightmare, offering us a chance to start anew.
