Help Daisy to walk again

Donation protected
In February this year, our little one year old cockapoo suffered a bad dislocation of her right hip. After taking her to the vets, we discovered that she had severe hip dysplasia in both hips. The vet tried to put her hip back in to place, but it sadly re-dislocated within a matter of hours. We urgently went to see an orthopaedic specialist in the Lake District to see what could be done, only to be told the worst news - her hips were too deformed and the best possible chance for her was to have a full hip replacement.

The surgery was very risky, causing us stress like you would never believe. Nobody should ever have to be told that there is a high risk of their one year old pup going in to cardiac arrest in the surgery when she was bounding round the beach a week before.

Thankfully, she made it through and made a full recovery. Overall, the surgery totalled approx £10,000. With her only being insured up to £3,000, we remortgaged our house and had to beg and borrow every last penny to get her the best care she possibly could have. Six months on, she was back sprinting round at 100mph at day care and back to chasing pigeons on Townley park.

Up until last week. Daisy was on a normal walk and out of nowhere, her left hip dislocated and we have found ourselves in the exact same situation as we were in February. Heartbroken and distressed like nobody would ever believe as to how we are going to get through this again.

The vets have confirmed again that the hip will not go back in to place, so the only option we have is another full hip replacement. We now await an urgent referral with the orthopaedic surgeon and hope that Daisy will have the operation within the next week. We have no idea how we will fund the operation again and cannot believe that we are in this situation. But I would do anything physically possible for her to be running round and enjoying her little life again. Thank you for any help you can give
