Hi, I’m Sara! 
You may know me as the lady who makes dog magnets or who sends Blair & Q hinged-joint dolls modeled on their delightful selves.

I have loved making these Ugly Dog magnets (and magnets celebrating all of your special pups, too!), but had to stop recently because I lost access to the laser I was using.

My parents have closed their awards business and sold their equipment. Professional grade lasers are far too expensive and bulky, so it seemed as though my lasering days were over. 

But! There has been interest from many of you in helping me to continue making my weird little projects. I’m going to make another post with some info about how you can help and what you’ll get for your money. ;)

If in some crazy happening, the goal is met - I will use any additional funds to try and extricate myself from some of the financial binds I'm in.  All of my immediate needs are met; I'm not in crisis. But I am seriously underemployed. I'm working as a GED teacher at my local community college, but it's only a part-time gig and the pay is...well, it's kinda laughable.  I would like to find full-time employment, but because of a disability/mobility issues I don't have a car that is accessible to me as the driver. Without a car, no money. Without money, no car. You can see the Catch-22. 

I feel so thankful to have come across Blair on Twitter and to now have her and Q and the dogs and all of you as part of my life. I love dogs (of course!), but for me it’s also about being part of a community with such varied and fascinating interests, full of people I learn from every day and who are supportive of each other’s pursuits and passions. That’s not a small thing!
