Purple Mountain Playroom Startup

Hi! I’m Ms. Liz! My husband S and I are the founders of Purple Mountain Playroom In-Home Daycare! The idea came around after the birth of our daughter and trying to find quality and affordable childcare. With the prices of childcare being at record highs and only continuing to rise, we wanted to help families in the community by offering much more affordable, quality, family-oriented childcare in our Colorado Springs community than what you would find in most any other daycare centers. My background is in Early Childhood Education with a degree from RRCC which gave me my Teaching License as well as my Directors License. I started working in ECE when I was fifteen as an aid and worked my way up to being an Assistant Director by the time I was twenty-one. After being in the industry and working for multiple different ECE companies, privates and nonprofits I am ready to branch out and do what I love most. I want to give kids the space to be kids and families the feeling of comfort and security while their children are being cared for. What better place to do it than the comfort of our own home, right? We are needing to do some updates to our space while we are in the process of getting licensed through the state of Colorado. Right now we need to update our bathroom for the kiddos. We are hoping to raise 6,000, all of the proceeds are going to be used to help with licensing so that we can help even more families who struggle to find good and affordable care!
