9 Lives, 8 Near-Misses : life lessons from near-death events

Hi! I’m Paul de Tourreil, aka @postitpaul, and a few months ago I started digging myself out of a tough situation by making some art: my first-ever solo show!
I wrote some stories (there's a video of one of the stories below), got into the Montreal Fringe Festival, and now I’m busily working very hard because June 2nd (Opening Night!) is right around the corner. (GAAAAHHHHH!!!)
I might be alone onstage, but putting on a great show takes a small army of brilliant collaborators.
I don’t ask anyone to work for free, because unlike Hollywood bigwigs, I believe that artists, technicians, basically everyone deserves to be paid for their time, effort, and skill.
Even though many of my team have kindly offered to work for much less than their usual rates, it still adds up to a pretty penny.
I am hoping that you will choose to make a donation to help me pay the amazing PEOPLE who are bringing this show to life, and to you!

So for the next 8 days (8 near-misses, nudge nudge wink), I’m asking for your help, so that I can properly pay these talented professionals.
To be transparent:
I am NOT offering any type of gift, reward, raffle, sweepstakes, giveaway or promotion, as this goes against the spirit and terms of the gofundme platform.
Also, I am NOT asking for money for “THINGS”.
I’m self-financing this production, no grants or subsidies. I’m paying the application fee, theatre and rehearsal space rental, equipment/costumes/marketing materials, internet stuff, crew meals, transport, etc… and hoping to cover these costs with ticket sales.
