Rebuild With Us – Clifftop Reggae Party 2025 Recovery Fund

Dear friends and community,

We never imagined we’d be writing this, but following the cancellation of Clifftop Reggae Party 2025, we now find ourselves in a serious crisis.

We’re launching this GoFundMe to raise £7,800 to help cover the costs of setting up the now cancelled event. These are real debts: materials, infrastructure, and planning expenses that were already paid for in good faith as we prepared to welcome you all back to the hill. Sadly, those investments now hang heavy on our shoulders.

Over the past few months, Reuben and Samantha have given everything to this project. Because of the intensity of the planning process and the demands of trying to keep the event on track, they’ve been unable to maintain consistent self-employed work. Like many grassroots organisers, they took personal financial risks, relying on credit cards just to meet basic living costs, believing Clifftop would come through, as it had last year.

We want to acknowledge that many others also poured time, energy, and heart into helping build this event, and we’re truly grateful. That support has never gone unnoticed. But as things unravelled behind the scenes, Reuben and Samantha have been left to carry the emotional, practical, and financial weight alone.

We’ve done our best to hold things together under immense pressure, but the past few weeks have taken a serious toll. The stress, uncertainty, and financial strain have pushed us to breaking point. What began as a shared vision and labour of love has become a deeply isolating and costly experience.

We’re reaching out now, humbly and honestly, to ask for your support.
