Please, Help! Unexpected Home Care Costs, Expenses
Donation protected
On Jan. 25, Holmes Beach City Commissioner, Pat Morton, was walking into work at Ace hardware in Holmes Beach and he was hit by a vehicle. He was hospitalized and had surgery for chipped vertebrae. He also suffered kidney damage and a fractured pelvis. Pat was previously the caregiver for his wife, Gailene, and also needed help to recover. The care and general aid necessary has been expensive and Pat is not yet able to return to work.
Sadly, Gailene, his wife of 45 years, died March 17 and our hearts go out to him for his loss.
He recently learned the Seaside Gardens apartment where he resides in Holmes Beach is going on the market and his landlord has asked that he vacate the property.
Pat has served our community for some 20 years, and he's always been willing to pitch in and help others. So, if you are able, please, chip in to help give him some peace of mind during this stressful time. *All donations go directly to Pat Morton.
