Hi,

My name is Michelle and I am fundraising to get my husband Kelvin potentially life saving additional treatment for cancer on his liver.

Just a quick background on Kelvin, he is a loving husband, father and grandfather. He is also very popular in our local community, where he serves as Father Christmas amongst other things.

Kelvin was diagnosed with colon cancer in March 2025. He underwent surgery to remove two tumours from his colon. He was then prescribed with eight cycles of chemotherapy, when the standard amount is four cycles. He managed five cycles of chemotherapy, before it was halted as it started to damage his liver. This stopped in August 2025. He has also been left with permanent damage to his hands and feet, meaning he can no longer entertain the locals with his guitar!

In August and September, scans unfortunately showed metastasis to Kelvin's liver in three small lesions. He underwent an ablation procedure on his liver in November. Scans have now shown this was only part successful. Unfortunately, Kelvin also now has a new growth on the left hand side of his liver and is now undergoing a different chemotherapy regimen to shrink/kill these lesions.

We are looking to raise funds to potentially send Kelvin to Cambridge for histotripsy treatment, if his current NHS treatment (4th different one) is not successful this time. Money raised so far has also helped to fund additional, holistic treatments. These include a hyperbaric oxygen therapy chamber and a whole host of other treatments.

We would ask that you please give anything you can to help this lovely, friendly man we love, to live. We all need him so much and can't even begin to imagine our life without him. Please also know that if you were in need of help of any kind, Kelvin would do anything he could to help you. That is the kind of man we are desperate to keep hold of! The world is simply a better place with him in it.
