Dear friends and family (by blood, or by Boston Scientific - I consider the two pretty damn close to equal),

About a month ago our family got the word that my cousin-in-law, Robin, was diagnosed with HERS2 Positive Breast Cancer that has spread to her lungs, stomach, throat and possibly her rib bones. I immediately reached out to everyone I knew at BSC who could possibly help and within minutes was receiving calls and texts from a group of amazing humans who were willing to step in and do anything in their power to help us. Robin was seen the very next business day by the best cardiothoracic surgeon in FL. The "family mentality", and the unwavering support that we have for one another at BSC is second to none. I will always be forever grateful for the comfort of knowing that we all have each other's backs. It truly is the best work family I could ever imagine having.

Here comes the tough part, or "the ask" as it's called in all of our meetings...

Unfortunately, due to the extent of the cancer, she needs extensive testing and treatments and is not able to financially support the level of care that she needs at this time. Her son, River, has been battling Type 1 Diabetes for the last 15 years and Robin has been doing everything in her power to cover her son's medical bills when medical insurance has fallen short.
