Please Help Mike in the “Fight of HIS Life”

Hi my name is Georgina, my husband Carmine and I are trying to help our friend Mike Myers, that was involved in a life threatening dirt bike accident on March 17, 2024. He was Airlifted to a trauma hospital in Maryland, which is where the accident occurred. He is currently in a medically induced coma with injuries to his spinal column, C1, C2. Damage to his carotid artery and a brain bleed. He also has broken ribs, broken pelvis and broken scapula. Mike is a loving husband and father. His wife Kat and his 2 children are by his side. He is a 20 year delivery driver for Pepsi in Mays Landing, NJ. and their only source of income. Anyone that knows Mike knows he would give the shirt off his back to help anyone that needed it. Please help support this family in prayers and any financial donations you can afford, as they will need anything that you can give. Mike is in God’s hands now for healing and strength. He needs all the prayers we can send. Thank you.

Update: Monday night 8pm

Mike is out of surgery, all went well. The surgeon said they did what they expected to do. They did a CAT scan and everything is where it should be. He’s back in his room and still under sedation with breathing tube for a few more days. His vitals are great and he is doing great. Prayers are working so keep them coming.

Update: Tuesday morning, Mike had a good night, vitals are still good. He is still intubated for a few more days, in a twilight stage so he is aware and recognizes the people around him. He is going for another CAT scan later this morning. He is still showing signs of limited feeling on one side. They are going to try to sit him up a little today.

Update Wednesday morning….Mike is off sedation and fully alert. He is using a letter board to communicate and his first word he spelled out was “WORK” , he wanted to let his friends know…and is fully able to understand everything, which is AMAZING!! Still unsure of removal of breathing tube timeframe. Had an MRI last night and it came out really good. They’re still trying to figure out what is causing the paralysis on the one side given that the MRI came out good….hopefully it’s only from the swelling that’s putting pressure on those nerves and when that goes down, we’re praying that his feeling returns. Thank you all for the prayers and donations, Kat is overwhelmed by the generosity that everyone is showing to them. The love and support is what they need most. Words cannot describe what an emotional roller coaster she is on, and by all of the love and support it makes it just a little bit easier for her. So THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU to each and everyone that has helped in any way. God definitely has his healing hands on Mike and Mike is showing the positive signs from it. Keep praying for Mike, and Kat…the more prayers we send to them the faster Mike and Kat can come home. ❤️❤️

Friday, 3/22/24…Mike is able to articulate what he wants to say through the letter board…he is sitting up and Respiratory therapists have him trying to take deep breaths in and out. He has surgery tomorrow to remove the breathing tubes and do a tracheotomy. He doing better each day and Kat and Mike thank you all for your prayers and well wishes, they mean the world to them. ❤️
