Please help Kevin fight for his life!

In the early morning hours of Saturday, March 12th, 2022, our beloved brother Kevin Ortiz was robbed and shot after an evening out with friends in downtown Los Angeles. Despite complying with the perp’s demands, Kevin was senselessly shot through his left arm, left chest, stomach, and liver. He was rushed to LA County - USC Medical Center, where he received life-saving surgery from the outstanding staff there.

Now, more than a week and 3 surgeries later, Kevin is still in the ICU fighting for his life. As a result of the injuries sustained from his gunshot wound, Kevin has been battling a serious infection of his left lung, one that has left him unable to breathe without a ventilator.

All of us that love Kevin — his girlfriend Danielle, parents Lilia and Carlos, brother Junior, and sister Jamie — have been praying for his recovery and have been holding vigil at bedside during his entire hospital course thus far. We are hopeful that he will make a full recovery, but that road to recovery will likely be long and entail considerable medical expenses.

The entirety of the money raised from this GoFundMe effort will go towards Kevin’s hospital bill and rehab.
