On July 29th, 2020, our community was rocked by the sudden and devastating news that John “Moe” Coleman had passed away.
It’s no surprise that so many who knew and loved John would immediately take to Facebook to express their grief and share their stories about what it meant to be a friend of Moe’s.
The posts are a testament to the wonderful person that John was. There are not enough adjectives to describe his extraordinary attributes. Moe was hard-working, always had a positive attitude, an incredible sense of humor, and an extremely special way of bringing people together with humor and positivity. From mixing cocktails (including his signature Moe Tai) at the Silver Dollar/Humble Pub and Highwood Gourmet Market, to spinning tunes at local events, he was a loyal friend who you could always count on and will be missed by many.
John leaves behind his heartbroken mother, Lynet Coleman, his sister Stacey, his wife Sara Madlock Coleman, his beloved daughter Cynthia Madlock Coleman and his cherished friend Kim, who love him with all their hearts. They are now left with the financial burden of laying John to rest. Please consider making a donation to help his family with funeral and cemetery expenses. Remaining funds will go towards his dear daughter Cynthia’s college fund.
John touched the lives of countless people in our community. He is what helped to make HIGHWOOD STRONG. Let’s STAY strong in HIS memory! Cheers to you Moe! We love you and will never forget you!
