Please Help Joe King!

Hello Friends, Family, Fans, and Those Who Simply Care About A Fellow Human Being.

Joe King has been a professional musician his whole life and in more recent decades, a mainstay in the Colorado Springs music community. Joe specializes in blues slide guitar, but being from South Texas he is also accomplished in many styles, including Tejano and Cumbia. Aside from Joe's virtuoso musical ability, his wit and charm captivates audiences.

Last month Joe suffered a life altering stroke. It has affected Joe's right arm and leg, leaving him unable to play guitar or walk. With therapy, there has been some improvement and we are very hopeful for a full recovery.

The stroke has not only taken a toll on Joe's physical health but has also created a significant financial burden. As you are surely aware, our medical system for the elderly is not the best. Therefore, we are asking for financial assistance for the following:

• Physical Therapy- this is extremely important as Medicare will only pay for a small amount. There are signs of improvement so therapy is definitely effective. We just need more.

• Home health care- someone to come to the house, assist in bathing, bedding changes, personal care, light cleaning, etc.

• Equipment- such as grab rails for the bedroom and bathroom, walkers, wheelchairs, and other needs that may arise.

Please help us get Joe back up and back out there doing what he loves and entertaining audiences again! This is truly a case where more resources are key. Also, beyond the monetary, any in-person help is appreciated.
