Pirate Nation Track & Field headed to Nationals!
Donazione protetta
Hello everyone
My name is Chris, and I am a youth and high school track and field coach. This is my first year coaching at Corinth Holders High School in Wendell, NC just outside of Raleigh. This is a newer school in the area, but with a growing sense of accomplishment. Our small team of men's and women's student-athletes are making the most of our facilities and equipment to produce some pretty outstanding performances, from our ladies ranking third in the state in the 4x400 meter relay, our gentlemen (pictured) placing third in the State championships, to having both the male AND female Most Outstanding Performers in our conference championship meet!
This is a GREAT group of kids, thoughtful, respectful, open to coaching, and hardworking. They do everything asked of them, and the results have shown thus far in the season in both the classroom as well as on the track and in the field. Our issue is that, as a newer program, we do not have as much of the infrastructure built up to support our athletes when they surpass expectations, as they have done this season. We have sixteen (16!) different events that we have qualified as a team to contest at this year's Adidas National Championships to be held in Virginia Beach, VA on March 17-19 2023. Our athletes have done all that they can to be in this position, so we as adults are using every resource at our disposal to make this event happen for them.
We are looking to cover the entry costs for this championship event, as they are pretty steep for us. If we can meet our goal amount, then the entry fees would be 100% covered for all participants, and we can represent North Carolina on the national stage. Please donate and share with those who can help us out. All proceeds will go directly to Pirate Nation Track & Field.
*UPDATE!*
Thank you so much to everyone who has contributed to this fundraiser! We have managed to get everyone registered for the event. At this point, we will leave the fundraiser open for another week or so to allow those of you who may still want to contribute to the team's success to do so. We will allocate any additional funds raised towards travel costs for this meet and for the upcoming outdoor season. The kids on the team asked that we express their gratitude to ALL of you for helping to make this happen, they had no idea that so many people were invested in their success and it has been a great motivator for them.
