Pia's eyes

Hello! Pia woke up 23rd of January 2018 with some floaters and blurred vision in her left eye. She went to the doctor the next day and was prescribed prednisone drops for an inflammation. They helped somewhat however the inflammation continued to progress and spread to the right eye as well. After 3 months she was sent to Winnipeg to see a retina specialist.
Through the course of the year 2018 Pia has been through many treatments and procedures. From painful needles to the eye, IV infusion and vitrectomy. Seeing over 12 different specialists and getting no further answers to the cause. The increased pain and pressure to the left eye with no relief led to the inoculation (removal) of the left eye as the only option. This was done Dec 11th and the eye was sent to a pathologist for further testing in hopes to find out a diagnosis. However no answers have been found as of yet. The next phase now is waiting on a prosthetic eye at a cost of $1800. As of right now the only vision in her right eye is daylight occasionally. There is a hope to bring back vision for the right eye with new form of medicine which is an implant pellet. It is a time released medication to last 4 to 6 months at $1500 per time. There has been lots of financial needs with all the travel and medication costs through all of this. Pia is on a fixed income and any help would be greatly appreciated to save her right eye and bring some vision back.
