The Prospect Heights Art Club (PHAC) is a volunteer-run arts organization dedicated to providing free public arts programming and an amplifying platform for artists in our community for five years running!

Right now, PHAC is preparing three huge milestones...

The culminating gallery show for our One Good Work public art residency takes flight from Studio Contro on August 24. OGW encouraged participants to dream big and led them through a structured process of planning, research, and mutual aid, to help bring their works to life.

The 5th annual Failed Film Festival launches in September, and has produced hundreds of films right here in Prospect Heights and around the globe! Through the Failed Film Festival, Brooklyn films have reached the world, and the world has reached back—facilitating international dialogue from Tokyo to Ghana to Rio and back to Brooklyn.

Finally, fresh off a legendary five year run - PHAC is going pro - we are raising the funds to incorporate as a non-profit and seek funding to help our community climb to even greater artistic heights!

We believe in investing in artists of skill levels and backgrounds, giving them a platform to make their voices heard and fostering creative risk-taking. Our punk rock community-supported model has allowed us to host gallery shows, print magazines, urban agriculture events, and community activism—all aimed at cultivating joy and creation as an act of resistance.

To make these goals possible, we need your help. Contributions will go directly toward paying for gallery space at Studio Contro, securing event insurance, and supporting public programming like artist talks, live music, and show programs this summer.

Your support will also help us fund community outreach and the launch event for the Failed Film Festival, and used to reduce festival ticket prices so more neighbors can attend.

Most importantly of all, we are using funds to incorporate as a non-profit, secure funding, and land a permanent public home for PHAC.

The past five years of constant, free, community programming was done with zero institutional funding—just the passion and dedication of volunteers and the generosity of our community.
