Peter K Noyes Funeral and Memorial

Donazione protetta
I lost the love of my life, he became my whole life, the father my daughter never had and a great grandfather.

Our story started back in high school when this bad boy got transferred to my school. I instantly was attracted to his long hair and his mischievous smile. So, we became boyfriend and girlfriend. By the end of the school year we went to the senior prom. (We look great for 1973). We joined our school for a trip to Europe that summer and sadly we broke up during the trip and by the end of the trip we were no longer talking and both went our own way.

Fast forward 40 years and we found each other again. We started talking and talking as we were states apart. Finally, we both got the courage for a face to face meeting. The sparks starting flying. It turns out we had both been alone for many years and we found out we had much in common. After a while we decided we wanted to be together every day. Peter decided to come live with me in Pennsyvania.

My daughter who was newly divorced with a one year old was living with me at the time. She had concerns about some man she did not know moving in with her mother. After a short time, the two bonded like a father and daughter. She would turn to him for advice. I would find the two of them sitting in the rockers on the front porch discussing life. He became a grandfather to her son and was there for the birth of her second son.

Peter got diagnosed with non-small cell lung cancer the end of June 2019. It was a devastating blow but we were determined to beat it. Treatment started by the middle of July. There were both good and bad days. Our first check up with the oncologist after 3 months was positive with the tumor shrinking. With the next round of chemo things were not so each for him. By mid-October we got hit with the cancer spreading to the brain.  Day by day things seemed to get a little worse but we kept our attitude positive. The morning of October 27 things were normal, Peter took a shower and I helped him get dressed and then he tells me he can’t get up. I tried to help but could not get him on his feet. Got the help of a neighbor still could not get him up. He then collapsed to the floor like a rag doll but still conscience. I had to call 911 by time they got here which was only a few minutes he was no longer conscience. The paramedics and fireman worked until they got him stable and off to the hospital, they went with both my daughter and myself following, He never regained consciousness and his organs were failing. Peter had a do not resuscitate order. My daughter and I discussed this with the doctors and felt we owed him to honor his wishes. They made him comfortable and we sat with him until he passed a few hours later.

Now my daughter and I are both lost, I have lost the love of my life and she has lost the only father she has ever known.

We are asking for help to give Peter a proper funeral this loving man deserves. $8,000 should cover the cost of the funeral and any outstanding bills he might have. Any funds left over would get donated to a local shelter as Peter always wanted to help the less fortunate.
