Peregoy Family NICU Fund

On December 8th, Sarah and John unexpectedly welcomed their baby Elinor Bella at only 31 weeks gestation. She was born weighing 2lbs 5oz, and measuring 15 inches long.
Both Sarah and Elinor have long healing journeys ahead of them. Sarah is recovering from a c-section, preeclampsia, and other underlying health conditions. Elinor will be in the NICU for a yet-undetermined amount of time, while she learns to breath without support, feed through her mouth, maintain her temperature, and gain weight.
Having a preemie NICU baby and unexpected hospitalization comes with quite a bit of financial burden. In addition, Sarah and John don't live close to the hospital, and will incur significant expenses with commuting everyday, paying for parking fees, etc. Sarah will not be receiving any income during this time, and John is going to try his best to remain teaching. This deeply emotional time is also a very costly time as well.
We'd like to raise funds to help with things like:
-Transportation (gas, hospital parking, tolls)
-Food (grocery delivery, take-out meals, meal delivery services)
-Preemie items Elinor will need at home (clothes, diapers, etc.)
-Unexpected medical expenses incurred from these hospital stays
-Temporary lodging, if necessary, to be close to the NICU
-Any extended in-home care needed once Elinor comes home
-Home-health support for Sarah's recovery
-Recovering lost wages from not being able to work
-Outsourcing things at home (dog walking, gardening, etc.) that they can't devote time to right now
-Clothing to support Sarah with exclusive pumping and eventual breastfeeding
-Extra pumping supplies (they'll need to be replaced monthly)
-Registry items (they were never able to have a baby shower, and still need things like a stroller, bassinet, car seat base, diapers, etc)
-Moving Elinor from her current NICU to one closer to Sarah & John's home, once she's stable enough
Sarah is my sister, and I know she doesn't normally like to accept help like this. But I also know there is a giant community of support who is rallying behind her and wants to give her and baby Elinor the opportunity to build a healthy, strong beginning to their life-long relationship together. Sarah is deeply committed to her local community, friends, and family, and this is one small way we can all give back to her and John. No gift is too small, and we so appreciate your generosity.
We'll try our best to provide updates on how Sarah and Elinor are doing, so we can all cheer them both on as they reach important milestones over the next couple of months.
