Paying Tribute to Mieka Purdon (nee Hattersley)

On the 31st of March, my sister-in-law Mieka Purdon (nee Hattersley) went to be with the Lord after several years of fighting cancer. Mieka was a blessing to every person who had the privilege to know her, and an incredibly gentle and loving wife, mother, sister and daughter. She is survived by her young son Jared and her husband Michael, who is currently in the process of making funeral arrangements.

Mieka's battle with cancer over the past several years has also sadly been associated with a significant financial strain on her family. Due to this and the costs involved with organizing her funeral, I have started this fundraiser to help provide Mieka with the funeral and memorial she and her family deserve.

We all understand this has been a challenging few years for many, so with that in mind any donation you may be able to afford to contribute to her funeral expenses, no matter how big or small, would be a blessing to her family during this time.
