I'm raising funds for my friend Paulino Solorzano as he faces terminal cancer. Paulino has made the deeply personal decision to prioritize quality of life instead of pursuing chemotherapy or radiation, and I want to help make sure his remaining time is met with comfort, dignity, and care.

Paulino lives on a fixed disability income, and as his condition has progressed, he has needed more support at home. He should not have to face this stage of life alone or worry about how to cover basic daily needs. Right now, the need is urgent so we can begin putting care in place without delay.

These funds will help pay for the practical support Paulino needs, including food for him and his seven dogs, compensation for caregivers and companions who can sit with him and help coordinate his care, utilities and other basic household costs, end-of-life supplies and comfort care needs, rehoming support for the dogs who cannot stay with him, and life celebration expenses.

Paulino's dogs mean everything to him, and part of caring for him is also making sure they are fed and looked after. There may also be unexpected costs along the way as his needs change, and this support will help us respond to them with care instead of delay.
