Paradise Fire Recovery 4 my Brother

This Go Fund Me Page is for my brother, David Baas. A couple of months ago, David drove out to Paradise, CA to stay with a disabled friend who needed help coping with a recent cancer diagnosis.  He took all his belongings in his van and a tow-behind trailer.  Once his friend recovered, David's intention was to explore CA to find an area of the state he could live in that would offer him both job and music opportunities. (David sings, plays guitar and is an extraordinary musician.)

 Fortunately, David was in his van, away from Paradise temporarily, when the Camp Fire broke out.  Sadly, his trailer was at his friend's home and was destroyed by the fire. David lost everything he owns, apart from the clothes he had with him in his van. He now has no furnishings or functional items to set-up a place to live.
  
I'd like to share some background to emphasize the importance of this Go Fund Me Page.  Several years ago, David lost his wife, his home and his business.  He has been working hard to overcome the tremendous emotional, financial and practical fall-out from these losses.Now, at age 63, he is facing the loss of almost everything  he had left.

 I am so grateful that David and all his friends in Paradise are safe, but to begin his life again, he needs the financial help I hope this Go Fund Me Page will provide. David is one of the kindest, wisest and most giving people I know. He is loving, accepting and non -judgemental.  There is no self-pity in David. He is dealing with his losses with grace, feeling grateful that he and his friends are alive and safe.
