On the morning of September 28th, our dad, Joe Nowacky, had a hemorrhagic stroke which is bleeding on the brain. After being rushed to the emergency room it was discovered that he has leukemia. The doctors immediately told us to be prepared to say goodbye and that with his lab levels and complications this case was expected to outcome in “100% mortality”.

Within the first 24 hours after arriving to the hospital, our dad was showing significant signs of improvement. This is all still a seesaw movement and we need continued prayers. He still has a very difficult road ahead of him. As long as he keeps showing signs of improvement from the stroke & his lab levels keep rising, we will need to start focusing on chemotherapy as soon as this coming week. Our dad is a fighter. He was able to tell us he wants to keep fighting.

All monies raised will go towards his medical care and recovery. We appreciate everyone reaching out and encouraging us to start this as a way to help our dad.
