Pam's Insurance and salary stop gap
Doação protegida
Pam Walczynski is a special education teacher in Illinois employed at Burlington Central 301. She was in a serious head-on car collision with an alleged impaired driver on her way to work in February 2016. She has not been able to work since the accident. Her strength and tenacity for rehabilitation has her close to returning to work, but she is not quite there yet. She has exhausted all her sick days for the rest of the school year. Since she is on an unpaid leave now, health insurance premiums must be covered in their entirety with no employer contribution. This also means when she returns to school, she will be docked salary to go to doctor’s appointments during the school day.
The good news is that Pam is projected to return to work, full time, in January! The loss of her salary (and the intermittent loss of salary for the remainder of this school year) coupled with the health insurance premiums are a financial burden for her family. Your contribution will help bridge the gap for health insurance premiums and help the family cope through the next few months. Thank you!
