Outdoor Meeting Area for Elementary School

    Hello, I am Ryan Miller. I'm a Boy Scout from Troop 818 in Enfield, CT. I've been in scouting for the past 11 years starting at Tiger rank and I have worked my way up to Life rank where I currently sit. I am trying to raise money for my Eagle Scout Project. My plan is to build an outdoor classroom for Henry Barnard Elementary School which is one of my favorite schools that I attended. I wanted to give back because of all of the great experiences I had there. This project will give an outdoor place for younger students to learn in an unique environment.

    The pavilion shown in the image provided is similar to my plans for this project. My project includes a concrete slab that holds a 16'x20' pavilion that stands roughly 8ft tall with a pitched roof. The plans also includes landscaping around the pavilion and netting for the roof so that animals don't nest there.

    This is an ambitious project that will take many hours of labor and $6000 in materials. As part of the project I'm required to raise funds for the materials and tools for the project. Any financial assistance that you can offer is greatly appreciated. Any remaining funds will be used to purchase tables and chairs for the pavilion or donated to the Henry Barnard PTO.
