This is my mother Denise, 58 years old living in Scranton, PA. Shes a mother of five and grandmother of seven. About a month ago our lives changed forever, a fairly healthy woman, my mother was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer. My mother would often complain of headaches, dizziness numbness in her legs and throughout. After seeking help and extensive testing she was told there was nothing showing up, she should seek mental health. Not having any answers and seeing my mother that way felt like complete hopelessness. My mother isn't crazy, she isn't making these things up! After months and months with no answers my mother was rushed to the hospital with severe head pain. Although we wanted answers we never expected for what they were about to tell us. The doctor came in sat down and said “ This is serious”. They found 4 tumors on her brain and from there everything changed. Everything was moving so fast within days she was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer metastasized to her brain. My mother just finished full brain radiation on Friday March 11th and will be starting chemo in a week from now. My mother worked 21 years breaking her back just making ends meet doing what she can to provide for her children and grandchildren. She always has been a giver, nurturer by nature. Now shes unable to work with no income coming in and were trying to provide for her in the best way we can but its still just not enough. So I thought out to seek help which brought me here. We could never repay our mother for the beautiful years shes given us and continues to give us, but with your help if we could take some of the financial burden off of her it would mean the world and more to all of us. With your donations we would be able to help with her living expenses (food, bills, housing), transportation to all doctors appointments, medications and or treatment not covered by her insurance, lodging, wigs, etc. Anything will help, a simple prayer means so much right now.
