Aloha friends!
As many of you know, Tim's sister, Bonnie, has stage four metastatic colon cancer. She has had so much love and support from close friends and family. As some time has passed, her pain levels have increased, mobility has decreased, and her quality of sleep has gone down drastically. With all of these challenges that the cancer has brought, Bonnie has reluctantly decided to accept the care of home hospice nurses. As much as this has been helpful, Bonnie needs a lot of care and would really enjoy the company and time with her brother, Tim. So, we have decided to buy a one-way ticket to Oregon to help take care of and spend some quality time with Bonnie. This has proven challenging financially for us, but we feel that it is the right decision for us to do. I broke my ankle a week and a half before our flight is booked, so half of our income has been missing right before our big trip, and we won't be able to work much (if at all) during our stay in Oregon. So, we are seeking the help of anyone who is able to, that we can afford to help make our sweet sister Bonnie comfortable during the most difficult part of her life.
