Our coworker and brother Carey Wyborn needs a little help

Hello Seaspan family. Our friend and brother, Carey Wyborn, could use our help and showing of support. As you may know he was involved in a motorcycle accident back in July of 2023 and we did a 50/50 to help him out as his return date was sometime in October.

Since then Carey has undergone neck surgery to fuse together his C5 & C6 vertebrae. After his surgery he contracted a bacterial infection called Cellulitis and subsequently ended up with Sepsis which nearly killed him.

Carey was excited last week when he was FINALLY given the “OK” to return to work with us Monday on a gradual return to work schedule.

Unfortunately this past weekend the Cellulitis came back.

He is in for a long and painful recovery, and from what I’ve been told will be no less than another 3 months, which he will be on a regular schedule of antibiotics.

I inquired about doing another 50/50 draw for him but was told it’s usually a one and done thing. Rules are rules and I understand that, so I am hoping that setting up this go fund me will be as successful
