In Loving Memory of Kenneth Rendon
We are heartbroken to share that Kenny, a beloved son, brother, and friend, passed away after a courageous battle with Adrenoleukodystrophy (ALD), a rare and devastating condition. Though his time here was far too short, his light touched everyone who knew him—through his kindness, laughter, and unwavering spirit to “win” and anytime he fell, say “it’s ok, I’ll get back up.” His fiery and loving personality will be in our hearts forever.
To honor Kenny, we are asking for help from our friends, family, and community to contribute for a memorial to celebrate his life and the courage with which he lived, but also to support his mom, Vero, with living and medical expenses.
Kenneth was born like any other little boy, happy, healthy, and full of life, goals, and a dream to become an astronaut. His life drastically changed in the course of a year, when his diagnosis was provided. By age 11, he was blind, deaf, mute, and physically contracted.
Vero demonstrated a mother’s love beyond what anyone would ever dream was capable. She was his sole caregiver 24/7 for 16 years, but beyond that, she was his biggest cheerleader and his advocate. Kenneth was her life.
We thank you in advance for every contribution, no matter the size. It is a powerful act of kindness and remembrance and is beyond appreciated.
With gratitude and love,
Kenny’s family
