Operation Slope Love
Before the blight of COVID-19, we at Tambour touted wine and jazz music as our ethos. We’d strike up the band, pour you a glass, and let you sit back and enjoy the jam. But, during this unsettling lockdown, we've been struck by the exhausting and often unsafe demands put on New York City's hospital staff, firefighters, and law enforcement. So much so that we’ve decided to shift our mantra to one that involves giving back.
While we still remain open in the evenings to serve takeout and delivery, we have begun spending our afternoons making tasty meals for our local first responders. As of right now, we’ve managed to feed Park Slope’s Engine 220, Engine 239, as well as the 72nd Precinct, because if these brave men and women are out in the hospitals and streets keeping us safe, then it’s only fair that we, as business owners, do our part.
This neighborhood is our home and haven because of our neighbors, and we are committed to serving them. So far, we have partnered with Baked in Brooklyn and Ace Endico Food Purveyors, but we will be needing your support to keep it up. Your donation will allow us to continue to craft nourishing meals for our local heroes.
Our next stops will include Fort Green Hospital and NYU Langone, and with your help, we’re only getting started!
