In September of 2012, Amelie was diagnosed with an extremely rare form of brain cancer, medulloblastoma.  In the past 2-years, she has undergone 14 rounds of chemotherapy, two brain surgeries, and radiation.

Throughout all of this, she is a happy kid...a kid who smiles far more than anything else.

Does she struggle?  Absolutely.
Are we constantly worried about the future, about our ability to provide for the best care, the best of everything?  Without a doubt.
