One Love Mia & Christina's rainy day education

Those of you who have had the pleasure of knowing Christina, Jacques and Mia know that they were put on this earth to think of others before themselves.  It is only fitting that during a time like this, those of us who make up the village give back to Christina and Mia in honor of Jacques.  For those of you who don't know, here is their story. 

Jacques and Christina met at a fundraising event (not kidding).  Jacques was smitten by Christina's exemplary hula hooping skills. Christina's hula hoop was like her American Express card. She never left home without it... Until it got replaced with a car seat and... along came the love of EVERYONE's life -welcome Mia. 

Approximately 2  1/2 years ago Jacques was diagnosed with stage 4 stomach cancer.  From the start, Jacques tried every traditional treatment offered to him and when those were not successful, he tried non-traditional methods.  Jacques, Christina (a cancer survivor herself) and Mia are the ultimate definition of what a fighter is.  Jacques fought every day with everything he had to be the best father, partner, son, brother, son-in-law, brother-in-law, uncle, cousin and friend he could; literally until the end.  Christina would go to work, go to appointments, chemo treatments, help Jacques when he needed help the most, while also making sure Mia, the community of Worcester and all of those around her did not miss a beat.  And Mia well, Mia is just Mia and her personality and smile can keep anyone going for a lifetime.  Not only was Jacques a fighter, he was also just as passionate and loving as Christina and they definitely shared a love of the arts and music.  Their apartment is filled with Jacques art work, music and editing equipment and of course his drones.  Just yesterday, Mia told a story about one of her favorite memories of her dad, was going to the park, playing and watching him fly his drones. 

Unfortunately this past Monday morning, Jacques lost his long hard battle with cancer leaving Christina and Mia a new chapter to being in their journey.  Any of you who know Christina know that she would much prefer to give to others than receive herself.  However, this is now the time that we all need to give back to Christina, Mia and Jacques.  Whether it be to order food because she is unable to cook one night, buy school clothes for Mia, or put the money aside for Mia's college education, it is our chance to give back to one of the most positive, happy and giving families in the city of Worcester.   Thank you in advance for any donation you are able to make towards the One Love #thisisforyouJacques Mia and Christina's rainy day and education fundraiser.
