Last week, Oma’s Garden House was destroyed by fire. Although there have been similar fires in this community, we were never able to find the cause (typical apathy when it comes to investigating). What we do know is that a place made with love and hard work (and that gives her joy and meaning every day of her life) is now a smoking pile of rubble. Thankfully, her cat Suze was not there but has lost her cozy winter home as well.
Not only is it Oma’s daily retreat from the outside world, but has also been Kathy’s for many years. I have also had many relaxing days there. All of us have loved nothing more than watching Jannis play and help his Oma digging in the dirt and learning about nature.
It’s hard for us to ask for help, but with no insurance, we simply must. Any small donation would be hugely appreciated so that we can help Grandma to clean, buy new building materials and get the house fixed again so that we all have our little peaceful garden paradise back.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. xo
