Help Nurse Olivia catch her breath!

On June 13th, 2017, Olivia Whalen, our lovable friend, mother, and Perioperative Nurse, underwent emergent gallbladder surgery. Although her surgery went as expected, Olivia was diagnosed with a life threatening pulmonary embolism 5 days later. Having a blood clot travel to her lung has caused her to lose some lung function as well as causes her severe chest pain.

In 2017, Olivia and her family relocated to Greeley, CO where they bought a house, which subsequently lead to changing jobs to be closer to her home and family. Unfortunately, due to changing jobs, Olivia does not have any benefits and has used the time off she had saved for her gallbladder surgery. Being the sole provider for her family and having limited resources available, we are asking for help to decrease some of the financial burden her family is experiencing while she focuses on getting back on her feet.

Recovery from a pulmonary embolism can vary greatly and Olivia's doctors want her to focus on regaining her strength and endurance for the time being. The money that we raise will help pay for some of the medical bills and living expenses from this unfortunate situation.
