NYC Marathon: Support Children with World Vision

I'm running the New York City Marathon with Team World Vision to help find sponsors for children in need. When I have been to Honduras on mission trips in college and another upcoming in September with the "Young Professional" team, I have seen how poverty can stack the odds against so many children. I have also seen how hopeful these children are when they see Jesus loving people coming to spend time with them because they know that they will be taken care of spiritually, emotionally, and financially.

When I was connected with World Vision and learned about the work that they do around the world, those same heart strings pulled at my heart. I have the incredible opportunity to raise money to sponsor 10 children around the world within the World Vision network.

Running has become more than just setting self PR's with a Garmin or a fun mental challenge, it has become another way to shine the light of Jesus to the community through so many avenues and World Vision is another avenue that I am using my unique running ability to positively impact.

I ask that you consider joining me in sponsoring a child in the World Vision network (either monthly or yearly), encouraging me, and most importantly praying for the children still waiting on sponsorships. The funds raised through this GoFundMe will be combined to sponsor multiple children through World Vision. I will send updates to you about the children that your funds are sponsoring around the world!
